Start with what hurts.
We'll work out the rest together.
You don't need to know whether you want manual therapy or hydrotherapy. You need the pain assessed by a registered physiotherapist, and a plan in plain words. That is what an appointment here is for.
What brings you in?
You arrive with a problem, not a treatment name. Here is how the common ones are usually approached: the specifics always come from your own assessment.
-
Back or neck pain
Assessment first, because "back pain" has many causes. Treatment commonly combines manual therapy with a graded exercise program, plus practical advice on desks, lifting and sleep positions.
-
A sports injury
Early management matters: cold in the acute phase, then progressive loading through exercise therapy to rebuild strength and confidence before you return to play.
-
Recovering after surgery
Rehab usually follows your surgeon's protocol, paced through structured exercise. Where weight-bearing is the obstacle, hydrotherapy lets joints move with the load taken off.
-
Chronic pain or stiffness
Long-running problems respond best to a combination: hands-on treatment for symptom relief, movement to build capacity, and education so you understand what the pain is and is not telling you.
-
Mobility and falls confidence
Balance and strength work in a form that suits you: water-based where land exercise is daunting, land-based where it is not, always built up gradually.
